Weeknotes — w/c 01/03/2021

Another busy week for our team this week. We were all heavily involved in #servicesweek

I really enjoyed a session I co-delivered with my colleague and pal, Alex May

I also had my second session with my design group buddies this week and I really believe it’s something that could be rolled out, not just in design, but to all departments in local government services. It’s so valuable to be able to share experiences and ask questions about the work you do, to get insight and alternative points of view. I find these sessions really valuable and a way to network, which for someone like me is perfect.

Project wise, things are moving on. Our Opt-in prototype is almost ready for testing and this is thanks to the awesome working group working on this piece. They are all engaged and want the best from the prototype — I can’t ask for more than that — so, if any of you are reading this, thanks guys!

I did some work this week on our team insights discovery, following some sessions held by our fab OD team. I’ve concluded we are all very different, bring lots to the party and in our team, we have a lovely rainbow of colours personality wise and this makes for an awesome team. 😊

I took some more coaching sessions this week, had a mentoring session with my mentor which I always look forward to, and I was also asked to be somebody’s mentor as well, which was a really nice compliment.

Also, stuck in the middle of all this was my birthday which was made all the sweeter by my colleagues checking in and making me feel rather special — I also had chicken nuggets for my birthday tea which, to me, means I’m winning at life.

Until next time…….
